Financial

The Center for Mission gathers and disperses financial support for Catholic missionary activity within the Archdiocese and on behalf of missionary activities of the Catholic Church throughout the world.

The Center provides opportunities to participate as an individual, a parish and as an archdiocese. We serve to bridge contributions given here to those mission priorities that need them most.

The Center for Mission provides the ability to give financially and spiritually at any time, while focusing on the following specific annual appeals:

World Mission Sunday - next-to-the last Sunday in October: an international effort organized by the Pontifical Society for the Propagation of the Faith.

Global Solidarity Sunday – Feast of Corpus Christi Sunday: a national effort organized by the US Conference of Catholic Bishops to respond to the Call to Global Solidarity.

Mission Cooperation Plan - an annual archdiocesan effort in which each parish of the Archdiocese agrees to welcome a representative from one mission sending diocese, religious order or lay mission organization to make a mission appeal.

Every effort is made to maximize the use of support of mission activity. In fact, 95% of our efforts and support in the past goes directly to this activity.
