The Center for Mission is the Archdiocesan contact for the Pontifical Mission Societies in America – the official international network for the universal Catholic mission activity under the patronage of the Holy Father. These include:
The Society for the Propagation of Faith seeks prayer, sacrifice and financial support for the Church’s missionary work and provides ongoing help for the pastoral and evangelizing programs of the Church of Africa, Asia, the Pacifica Islands and Latin America.
The Society of St. Peter Apostle encourages prayer and financial support for the vocations of priesthood, religious life and lay leaders in mission dioceses.
The Holy Childhood Association helps to cultivate the missionary spirit among children and to animate the universal dimensions of their Catholic Faith with emphasis on relieving the suffering and improving the lives of the world’s children.
The Missionary Union is a spiritual apostolate that assists in the formation of local pastoral leaders, catechists and religious educators in the missionary life of the Church so that they may animate others in the missionary spirit.
